I’d intended to do a thrash project with this logo/name but time and energy levels being what they are, I’m doing something a bit crazier.

I have this ancient 16 bit VF160 multitrack recorder that I’ve set up in the spare room. I’ve hooked up my electric drumkit to it and I’m recording layer-by-layer, improvised, no click, very little mixing or effects, just creating some raw noise. I allow myself do-overs but everything’s one take so it stays raw and nasty sounding.

The project name comes from this verse “In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive for God through Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:11

1 Stubborn Unrepentant Heart

“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God ‘will repay each person according to what they have done’.” - Romans 2:5-6

2 Wrath Of God Revealed

5 Body Of Death

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

6 Man Of Clay

“One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? 7 Living Sacrifice

8 Agents of Wrath

“For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.” - Romans 13:4-5

9 We Live For / We Die For

10 The Failings Of The Weak
